Peter began his banking career began at National Bank of Detroit in 1977. Peter has worked as a private banker in Bloomfield Hills and as a trust new business officer in Dearborn. He has been a trust administrator since 1990. After twenty-two years at NBD, First Chicago NBD and Bank One he joined Founders Bank & Trust in August of 2000.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University. He received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP)™ designation in 1988. He has attended the National Trust School and the National Graduate Trust School three-year program in financial planning, taxation, estate planning, trust principles and investments. The course is sponsored by the American Bankers Association at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
Peter is the past-president of the West Michigan Estate Planning Council and the Michigan Bankers Association Trust Executive Committee in Lansing. Peter has also volunteered as a reading tutor at Mulik Park Elementary School.
For 15 years, Peter, his wife of 36 years, and 4 children enjoyed living in Traverse City. Peter and Diane moved to the Grand Rapids area 9 years ago, and enjoy West Michigan very much. Peter loves reading, walking, jogging, biking, skiing and golf in his spare time. He is a former air traffic controller and private pilot.
